Dr Metters is a Senior Lecturer in Primary Care and Medical Education based in the GP teaching department at St George's University of London (SGUL) and a GP in South West London.
She is the Faculty Development Lead for effective teaching and learning in primary care, the MBBS Professionalism Lead, and academic lead for the Widening Participation primary care work experience programme.
She is also the joint Course Director of the Year 3 iBSc module in Primary Care: Complexity and Diversity, for the Biomedical Science degree at SGUL.
She has clinical interests in women’s health and minor surgery. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and has a Masters in Education: University Learning and Teaching.
