Dr George Joy is an NIHR Clinical Lecturer in Cardiology. His research applies advanced imaging to detect early heart muscle abnormalities in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. His work has been published in Circulation, the Journal of American College of Cardiology and Nature Reviews Cardiology. He was also nominated for the BHF Heart Hero Research Story of the Year 2024 and won the RSM President's Prize Silver Medal. At City St Georges’, George is using artificial intelligence and non-invasive techniques to understand factors influencing disease progression and sudden cardiac death in heart muscle disease.
